Red Devils | British Airborne

Post by A Tree » Sun Mar 11, 2018 12:28 am

We are a group, based in the UK, that aims to provide the Arma 3 community with a gritty and simulated WW2 environment.

The group officially started in March 2018 but have history going back much further. Our aim is to provide a professional and high quality environment for everyone's enjoyment - to do this we have spent multiple years crafting and moulding our procedures to be easy and historically accurate as possible.

So many groups claim to be "Realism groups" when really that statement does not hold true to their community - here at Red Devils we try to create immersive sessions that capture the essence of the Second World War.

Our structure is based around the British Airborne forces of the time. We operate under a Company structure:
  • No.4 Platoon - Light Infantry
  • 16th (Parachute) Field Ambulance - Attached Medics
  • No.1 Section, Anti-Tank, 1st AL AT Btry RA - Attached
  • No.74 "Tiger" Squadron RAF

Every Saturday and Sunday we host our main event and training, respectively. These start at 1900 hrs UTC+0 (UK time) and can last from anywhere between 2 and 4 hours.

Members are free to use our server to host Arma 3 events whilst the server is not in use. Additionally, we host auxillary servers for other games. As a community we naturally have members and non-members joining to play other games during non-event times.

We want this experience to be accessible by many people whilst still keeping the standard of entry high. Your appliction must show an interest in the community and should show that you have given thought and effort into your answers.
  • You must have a working microphone
  • You must be 16+ (with no exceptions)
  • You must stay active within the community
We do not have any problems with you being in another unit or another community, so as long as you remain active within our group (this includes Forum/TeamSpeak/Discord activity) then we have no issues.

Every member will go through a screening process to ensure that they are a good fit for the community, we wish to create a friendly environment where people can enjoy some good gameplay.

In order to apply head over to our forums and make an application.

The group has been reorganised to include an Armoured asset and an RAF detachment.
